Premium Decking OilA protective, lightly tinted wood oil, that enhances the natural colour of your deck or fences, decks and weatherboard.Flood's Premium Decking Oil is fortified with Flood's Penetrol® to deliver the deepest possible penetration, added protection from weathering and long-lasting beauty. It feeds, revives, nourishes and breathes new life into your deck by replacing natural oils lost through the damaging effects of moisture and sun, highlighting the grain of the timber for a rich, warm and natural appearance. It is perfect for Decks, Fences and Weatherboards. Flood Premium Decking Oil is scuff resistant, protecting it against foot traffic and provides a protective barrier against water ingress which can cause swelling and warping from constant water penetration. It is suitable for smooth hardwood and softwood decking, untreated, previously oiled or weathered timber. Surface PreparationCover any areas you will not be treating as well as plants and shrubs with a dropcloth. Wear protective clothing and glasses. Clean all new and old wood with Flood's Woodprep which will also brighten the wood and open its pores ensuring good penetration. New Hardwood should be treated with Powerlift to remove tannin and prevent bleed-through. Also remove any old oils or preservatives with Flood's Powerlift. Let the surface thoroughly dry for 24-48 hours. Application instructionsPick a day when rain is not expected for 24 hours and the temperature is between 15 to 25º C. Avoid late afternoons to prevent dew affecting the coating. Cover any areas you will not be treating and shrubs with a dropcloth. Sprinkle some water over the surface and, if it it does not bead up, you are ready to proceed. Drying timeIn normal weather conditions touch dry in 6 hours. Can be re-coated within 12-18 hours. Coverage10 to 12 sqm on Hardwood - 6 to 8 sqm on Softwood. Clean-upClean all tools with mineral turpentine. MaintenanceRegular cleaning will make the coating last longer. Re-coat when the wood changes colour or becomes less water repellant. First AidIf swallowed do not induce vomiting. Drink plenty of water and contact a doctor or your nearest poison infortmation centre on 13 11 26. DisposalDispose of unwanted product, empty cans and used rags in accordance with local regulations or contact you council. Do not pour unwanted oil down the drain. Use Kitty Litter to absorb liquid.
