CWF is the clear finish of choice for bigger restoration jobs. CWF Clear Wood Finish comes in a special sprayable formula, making it perfect for contractor-type work and excellent for larger jobs.

How To Apply CWF
CWF should only be used on exterior softwood that has weathered
at least one year. Clean your wood first with Dekswood Cleaner and Brightener. Let dry for 2-3 warm, dry days before applying CWF.

NOTE: If your timber has an old finish that must be removed, use
PowerLift Stain & Finish Remover according to label directions.

Cover all areas you don't want to coat. Apply two wet-on-wet coats of CWF with a brush, roller, or airless or garden sprayer. As one coat is absorbed (usually 15-30 minutes), apply another. Do not allow CWF to set up or dry between coats. Backbrush for even penetration and uniformity of coverage. Wipe up or brush out puddles to avoid shiny areas. Allow drying time from 24 to 48 hours.

For continued protection, apply CWF once every year or when detrioration becomes visible.
When CWF is first applied, the wood will darken to a richer color, then begin to lighten depending on the intensity of sun exposure.
CWF provides a mildew-resistant finish that won't crack, peel or flake.

CWF Coverage, Cleanup and Storage.
With two coats, one gallon of CWF will cover up to 10 square metres of rough sawn softwood or up to 20 square metres of smooth, weathered softwood. Clean up brushes and tools with mineral spirits. Remove drips and splatters from all surfaces while CWF finish is wet. If allowed to dry, use a suitable paint remover. CWF finish left in partially filled containers should be transferred to smaller, sealed glass or metal containers to prevent gelling.
